#5 Wedding Presence: Doug and Carrie are invited to the wedding of their annoying ex-neighbours, Guy and Lisa. But when they get the invitation and realize that the wedding is in Maryland they devise a scheme to "pretend" they are at the wedding without actually going. Meanwhile, Arthur cons Spence into pretending they are father and son so they can get a deal at a shoe store

#4 Inner Tube: After Doug tells a big lie to Carrie to get out of going to one of her boring work functions; he becomes very ill after playing mud football in the freezing rain. Sick in bed, he begins having dreams that feature him and Carrie as being on The Honeymooners, The Young and The Restless and a few other television shows.

#3 Flame Resistant: Doug's old high school girlfriend, Margy Coletti, is back in town. When Doug's mom comes to Queens for a visit, Carrie becomes jealous of all the time her mother in law spends with Margy. Meanwhile, Doug is intent on finishing a song that he started writing for Margy back in high school. When Carrie goes to confront her mother in law and Margy, Doug shows up too.

#2 Inn Escapable: When Doug surprises Carrie with a weekend trip to a romantic inn; the couple is in for a few surprises of their own. Ed and Betty are the owners of the inn, which is in a very old house filled with antique dolls and their pet cats. Doug and Carrie go to their room and are greeted by Ed bathing in their tub. During dinner, they find out how Betty thawed the turkey they are eating (yes, in the tub). Ed and Betty's pet cat, Marmalade, takes a liking to Doug and hangs out on the dining room table next to Doug's dinner plate. When the Heffernan's try to escape the inn, only one of them succeeds.

#1 Bun Dummy: Just in time for Doug's high school reunion, Carrie begins wearing her hair in an unattractive bun. After Doug forbids her to wear the bun to his reunion, Carrie boycotts going. That is, until she asks Deacon for his opinion of her hairstyle. Meanwhile, Spence is nervous about the reunion because he fears a run in with his high school teacher.
