Marko Mondays: My Top 5 Seinfeld Episodes

#5 - The Marine Biologist: Kramer takes up golfing by the ocean, and ultimately ends up fine-tuning his accuracy. While George's (a.k.a. Art Vandalay) wish was to be an architect, he is casted as a marine biologist and must play the part when a beached whale needs help. In typical Seinfeld fashion, the final twist leaves you gasping for air...a hole in one indeed. Click for clip.

#4 - The Soup Nazi: George ends up alienating the best soup maker in the city and Jerry ultimately chooses soup over his girl. Elaine sets her sights on an antique cabinet. While monitoring Elaine's cabinet, Kramer runs into trouble. To make matters worse, Elaine makes an error in front of the "Soup Nazi" and winds up getting a 1-year ban. By the end, Jerry discovers that the same cabinet contains the Soup Nazi's recipes, and to his dismay and against his wishes, Elaine vows to use these to take the Nazi down. Click for clip.

#3 - The Limo: After having his car break down on the way to the airport, George pretends to be "O'Brien" and Seinfeld goes along as the two get a ride in a delayed passenger's limousine. While driving towards Madison Square Garden, the two imposters call Elaine and Kramer to join them. On their way there, George and Jerry realize that they are on their way to a Nazi rally...where George or O'Brien rather, is the main speaker. Click for clip.

#2 - The Boyfriend: After meeting and befriending Keith Hernandez, Jerry is shocked to learn about the animosity between the former New York Met and Kramer and Newman. Turns out that the bad blood dates back to an encounter when Hernandez allegedly spit on Kramer and Newman. Seinfeld delivers a brilliant performance and supports the infamous "second-spitter" theory. Click for clip.

#1 - The Contest: My favourite episode from Seinfeld. Upon being caught pleasuring himself by his mother, George decides to cease these practices and enters a contest with his friends. As expected, the contest becomes more challenging as each one is confronted with a rather tempting situation, making it more difficult to remain master of their domain. Undoubtedly, one of the most talked about episodes ever. Click for clip.
