Sam Mitchell Fired By The Raps

After an 8-9 start to the season and an embarrassing 39 point loss to the Nuggets, Sam Mitchell got fired. Bryan Colangelo stated that the move was difficult but had to be done. Besides his "Coach Of The Year Award" in the 2006-2007 season and an average 4 years with the Raptors, the team never actually benefited from him. Yes they made the playoffs, but we still got smacked. Too bad so sad, right? Oh well. Jay Triano is promoted as Interim Head Coach for Friday's game against the Utah Jazz and will be the 7th coach in Raptors history.
