Kobe Bryant: Yes that’s right Kobe Bryant is the best player in the world without a doubt. No disrespect to Lebron James and Chris Paul as they will lead the NBA in the future. He is by far the most talented player in the world and plays with tremendous passion. He has the will to win and a killer instinct that never lets him be anything less than the best. He has more responsibility than any other player in the league and thrives on the pressure. He is a 9 time all-star, 2 time all-star game MVP, 7 time all defensive player, 1997 slam dunk champion, 2 time scoring champion and 1 MVP award. Plus 1 of the most incredible things ever witnessed when Kobe scored 81 points against our beloved Toronto Raptors in the 05-06 season (don’t need to get into that). Despite what some may say about Bryant, he takes a Lakers team to the playoffs every year. He can come off sometimes as a little cocky and selfish, but as we all know the same things were said about Michael Jordan in the mid 80's. Speaking of Jordan, just think how good Bryant would be if he was allowed to travel and palm the ball the way Jordan did. Kobe Bryant is one of the least respected superstars in professional sports by referees constantly getting hacked and roughed up by his opposition. All around offensively and defensively Kobe Bryant is the best player since Michael Jordan.

After waiting for my results to the Canadian Practical Nursing Registration Exam for over a month, I just found out that I passed. I'm ecstatic! I feel that this all happened so fast. I'm only 20 years old and I get to start my life. Right now would be a perfect time to thank God, my family, my friends, and THE HOMIES that had my back through that stressful time. Congratulations to all my peers that passed and failed because God blessed all of you no matter what. For those of you who failed, I'm proud of you and I don't want you to give up because you're going to kill it January. As I was told, God can give, but he can also take it away. With that said, good luck to my peers and thanks to everyone. Now it's time to help the people of the world the best way I can.

Not so long ago, England fans wanted to drive the former Sporting Lisbon man out of the country for his part in Wayne Rooney's sending off at the 2006 World Cup. The former bad boy can do no wrong these days, shedding his previous 'diving' reputation to send shivers down the spines of opposition defences with his mazy runs and free-kicks as well as an impressive goal tally. Ronaldo joined United in 2003 as an unknown 18-year-old and scored six goals in his first season. Up to date at the end of the 2007-2008 season, the Portuguese winger finished with 43 goals in all competition. Ronaldo is playing football on a level so far removed from any other player in world football. What makes him so good? The Portuguese can score from anywhere, he can play with his right or left foot, allowing him to cut in to the box, or keep to the line, a nightmare for a defender. This is perhaps why he is the fourth most fouled player in the league in the 2007-2008 season. It is a rare occasion to see him lose possession. His ball control while running at speed is remarkable and crucial, he has the end product to his game that was lacking only a few seasons ago. Paul Scholes has said that the Portuguese player is the greatest footballer he has ever played with, referring to his goal haul as "nothing short of amazing". That is high praise indeed, considering the calibre of Eric Cantona, Roy Keane, David Beckham and Ryan Giggs to name but a few Manchester United players Scholes has worked with. On this season's form, as good as Messi is, quite simply, Ronaldo is better. Not taking anything away from Messi or any other player who has had a solid 2007-2008 season, but Ronaldo is indeed the best player in the world.

#5 - King Of Queens: I know this show is fairly new, but it has to be up there for me. The cast of characters is so varied, but play off each other really well. I find something to laugh at in every episode. Doug and Carrie are almost total opposites but yet are a perfect match for each other. The writers do such a good job of varying the story lines revolving around all the actors that you don't get bored no matter how many episodes you watch. Plus Jerry Stiller is in it and he’s a killer of an actor (formerly on Seinfeld as Frank Constanza).
#4 - The Simpsons: I really didn’t want to put this in my top 5, but I gave it a thought and I had to. When everyone was little, they watched this show as it was funny and entertaining. Known as "Our Favourite Family" the show has been running for over 20 years and still going on strong. The Simpsons has piled over 400 episodes, 23 Emmy awards and even jumped to silver screen in 2007 with “The Simpsons Movie”. As much as I don’t watch it anymore I used to watch it as a kid so credit has to be given when it’s due.
#3 - Married With Children: I always hear people say this show is not funny. After all, what's funny about a shoe salesman, his wife and their kids who seem incurious about everything. Yet somehow, largely because of the acting (by Ed O'Neill and Katey Sagal) and the crazy situations, the show kept viewers diverted for ten years, tells you something.
#2 - The Sopranos: This award winning HBO series is sure to please anyone that appreciates a strong story with convincing characters, and never leaves anyone disappointed. The series has an excellent cast; James Gandolfini is obviously the center of the show playing as Tony Soprano. I’ve watched it and I got disappointed when the weekly 60 minutes has run its course, you are always left wanting more. One thing though be warned, the show is addictive.
#1 - Seinfeld: Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer provided literally hours and hours of water-cooler talk. Although it was a show essentially about "nothing" - the daily lives and mishaps of four friends, it was absolutely unique in its execution. There should be no doubt in anyone's mind why Seinfeld is master of this domain. The sitcom reinvented the genre, pushed the envelope at every opportunity. When a series finale gets 70 million viewers just in the United States, that’s doing work.
#5 - The Weekenders: I got to add some cartoons in this bitch. Yes I'm 20 years old, but I still got a little kid in me. The Weekenders kind of remind me of my friends and I. Pure Chillin'! Doing that same shit together without getting tired of it. It's pretty jokes too. I feel like its a show not only for kids, but adults too. I don't know why though. The cast seems kind of mature for their age. Good show.
#4 - Score Tonight: Sports. Every real man needs a little sports in their life and what a great way to watch some sports with a little humour to go along with it. Every Tuesday, Sid and Tim entertain me with the sports I need to consume. Cabbie On The Street is hilarious as well. Cabbie is probably one of the best reporters right now with his unique antics. Also, the plays of the week are nasty with a little humour on the side.
#3 - Rob & Big: Rob & Big is probably one of the funniest reality TV shows ever. It's too bad that they stopped after season 3. Even though they stopped showing it on TV, I always catch myself watching it on Rogers On Demand or even on Youtube. DO WORK!
#2 - Iron Chef America: Bobby Flay the KING!! Straight up, Bobby Flay is my favourite Iron Chef on the show. I love watching him on the show displaying his NYC style of cooking. I don't mind watching some Japanese style with Morimoto, Italian style with Mario Batali, or a little Cat Cora. But I have to say that Chef Flay is SICK!
#1 - Sienfeld: Here we are at #1. SIENFELD! At this moment, I catch myself watching a lot of Sienfeld on TVTropolis, Fox, or wherever. I guess I can blame my girl for that =D. Jerry Sienfeld is hilarious with his unique style of comedy and production. I think that whole Cast is amazing and it's one of the best shows ever.
Andray Blatche - He's got so much potential, it's not even funny. He's extremely fluid as a 6'11" PF/C, with a good jumper (around 18 feet), solid rebounding, and amazing shot blocking. Now that Haywood is going to miss a few months, expect him to get a lot more playing time.
Mickael Pietrus - He's finally in a system that doesn't require him to play as a 6'6" PF. Air France had a lot of expectations during his days in Golden State, but in Orlando, he can focus on his strengths, now that he plans to be the starting SG. With a good shooter in Nelson, Pietrus can focus on perimeter defence and posting up on smaller guards, two of his strengths.
Julian Wright - I loved what I saw from him during the playoffs. He doesn't have much of an offensive game, in terms of shooting, but I think that he can really shine if he gets a role somewhat like Thad Young's in Philadelphia.
Hakim Warrick - First of all, let me say that Warrick is a mediocre defender. However, he can score efficiently, and this season he should get playing time.
Andrea Bargnani - He was god awful last year, but some of that was because he needed surgery, and he got that taken care of this summer. Also from what I've seen, and heard through the media he's transformed his game quite a bit to more post/mid range game. He has natural talent so I could see him moving in the right direction this year and start putting it together.
